Richmond
Description:
Richmond is a crazy park with one whole side filled with quarterpipes and banks
with a spine and mini ramp in the middle. There are low handrails and flat bars,
ledges and hips. There are two mini bowl corners and lots of hips, basically anything
you can think of has been worked into this park. There is no way that you can
run out of lines in this place, if someone is getting in your way just head to
the 6' mini ramp but watch for people coming over the spine.
Address/Directions:
Cross into Richmond on the Arthur Laing Bridge and at the Airport make sure you take the ramp for Richmond. Continue South past the Airport, cross
the #2 Road Bridge and take a right at the lights, you should see a gas station
at this intersection. Go West 1 block and then turn right again to get back to
the edge of the water that you just went over. Turn left at the "T"
intersection and look on your left for a bunch of concrete in the trees.
To get there by bus throw your bike on the 98 B-Line to Richmond. Catch it at Burrard Station or up on Granville. Take the 98 into Richmond and get off at
the Airport Station stop. Then ride south along the road you came in on (Russ Baker Way). You will pass the Airport and cross the #2 Road Bridge. Turn right at the end of the
bridge and follow the bike path West until you see the park.
